Claudio Arrau: the greatest between the greatest. Controlled virtuosity, velvet sound when it's neccessary and hard martellato when appropriate, perfect phrasing... For me, Arrau is the only PIANIST playing now in the Heaven at the right side of God. Thank you very much, Bayreuth, for this gift.
